Congratulations to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) on being named a winner of the third annual Smart Energy Decisions Innovation Awards. The Innovation Awards, “recognize exemplary use and implementation of innovative technologies and progressive practices among large electric power users (customers), their suppliers and utilities that reflect new approaches to energy procurement and management.”
MSKCC was awarded in the Healthcare Energy Data Management category for the Virtual Energy Management (VEM) and Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD) work executed by Edison Energy at the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center — also called the Breast and Imaging Center (BAIC). The BAIC provides services such as chemotherapy, diagnostic imaging, screenings, gynecological services and more. As such, it is critical that the facility provides optimal patient comfort. Edison Energy worked with MSKCC to implement the VEM system throughout the entire facility. By leveraging technology and professional energy management capabilities to monitor, identify and optimize performance, Edison’s VEM Process ensures that buildings’ operations are closely monitored and that any variations in performance are identified and assessed for corrective actions before unseen operating deficiencies lead to spiraling energy costs.
Winners of the Innovation Awards will be recognized and honored at the Smart Energy Decisions 2020 Innovation Summit which will be taking place March 9-11 in Houston, Texas. Edison Energy’s Rob Federighi (VP, Sales) and Benjamin Landry (Account Manager) will be attending.
