Prices for European solar power purchase agreements (PPAs) are being pressured by falling supply chain costs, with solar module prices having plunged by more than a third in recent months, experts said.
Average EU solar PPA prices dropped 9% to EUR 62/MWh in the last quarter from EUR 68/MWh in Q2, Altenex Energy said in a report this week.
This was due to a 35% drop in solar module prices in recent months that translated into PPA prices, Corina Melchor, clean energy advisor at the consultancy firm, told Montel.
