Prior to his new role, Federighi was senior vice president of sales at SoCore Energy, an Edison International company, and one of the nation’s leading developers and operators of commercial and distributed solar generation. At SoCore Energy, he led the company’s growth of its commercial solar rooftop and ground-mounted business, winning contracts with some of the country’s largest organizations — including the largest system ever constructed by FedEx Ground, a 2.7 megawatt project in Hagerstown, Maryland. Prior to joining SoCore, Rob worked at global real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield, where he specialized in environmentally green developments and worked with clients to acquire and lease multiple creative loft-office redevelopments.
Federighi holds a master’s degree in commercial real estate law with a focus on sustainable development from the John Marshall Law School. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in finance, with a focus in commercial real estate finance.
