On Tuesday, August 20th, Edison International announced the 2019 Edison Award winners.
The Edison Award program takes place every two years and celebrates outstanding performance among employees who go “above and beyond the call of duty” while living Edison International’s values and guiding behaviors.
From the initial group of nominees, 50 finalists were chosen by a judging panel of program directors and former award winners. The 50 finalists were honored at an Edison Award Finalist Luncheon in July. The Luncheon was held at the Edison International headquarters in Rosemead, CA. From the pool of finalists, 20 winners were selected. These winners will be celebrated at a special recognition event on September 28th.
Among the the winners was Russell Smith, Principal Data Scientist at Edison Energy. Russell is responsible for developing new models and software components that directly serve Managed Portfolio Solutions (MaPS) client needs. These models also allow the Digital Platform to continue providing actionable insight on challenging questions. In addition, Russell mentors junior team members, advising on a multitude of different client engagements and software architecture tasks. He works with other principal team members to develop future road map plans.
Congratulations to Russell and all of this year’s winners!
“I am extremely proud of our diverse group of winners who are known for going above and beyond. These employees inspire all of us through their exceptional work on behalf of our customers and our communities.”
