In this webinar, the Edison Energy Policy and Clean Energy teams will be joined by Andy Moon, Co-Founder and CEO of Reunion to explore recent legislation, regulations, and policy trends shaping the North American renewable energy market.
The conversation will cover key insights from our Q2 Renewables Market Update and recent guidance on the Inflation Reduction Act’s clean energy tax credits and bonuses. We will highlight how these policy changes could impact renewable buyers’ procurement strategies and the potential risks they present. We will also discuss the main takeaways of the Treasury’s guidance on tax credit transferability and how corporations can invest in transferable tax credits to contribute to their ESG goals.

Andy Moon, CEO and Co-Founder, Reunion |
Andy is the co-founder and CEO of Reunion, a company with a mission to accelerate investment into clean energy.
Andy is the former co-founder and CEO of SunFarmer, a Y Combinator-backed social enterprise that has completed over 1,500 solar energy installations in Asia. Previously, he raised over $200 million from institutional investors to finance solar energy projects in the U.S. and Europe and worked as a consultant in the energy and buildings practice at McKinsey and Company. He was also an early advisor to Possible Health, a leading public health nonprofit. Andy holds a Phi Beta Kappa honors degree from Stanford University and was named a 2016 Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. |
Shannon Holzer, Head of Policy, Edison Energy

Shannon tracks regulatory, legislative, and administrative proceedings in North America and uses this information to help our clients make better energy procurement decisions. Prior to joining Edison Energy, she led state and federal policy initiatives as Director of Policy at SoCore Energy, a Chicago-headquartered commercial and community solar developer. Shannon also worked as a political organizer for Clean Energy Illinois, a political action committee formed to support pro-clean energy candidates. She also worked with the Environmental Law and Policy Center and Natural Resources Defense Council.
She is currently a Board Member of the Illinois Solar Energy Association and formerly a Board Member of the Illinois Environmental Council Young Professionals. Shannon has over 8 years of experience in energy policy analysis and governmental affairs and holds a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Studies from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. |
Matt Donath, Senior Policy Analyst, Edison Energy

As a Senior Policy Analyst, Matt tracks relevant legislation and regulatory proceedings at the federal, state, and local level and evaluates the potential impact to client’s energy strategy and sustainability goals. In his previous role as a Sustainability Program Coordinator for the City of Milwaukee, Matt led multiple energy efficiency programs and assisted with development of the city’s climate plan.
Matt has over 5 years of experience in clean energy and climate policy and has obtained his master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. |
Joey Lange, Managing Director, Energy Supply Advisory, Edison Energy |
Joey leads the Clean Energy Advisory practices at Edison Energy. Prior to this, he was the Senior Director, Client Services, where he worked directly with clients from early-stage market assessment through competitive solicitations, finance and risk evaluations, internal approvals, and commercial negotiations. These engagements have led to over 5,000MW of renewable energy PPAs being executed. Before joining the Edison team, Joey spent four years as the Senior Manager for Renewable Energy and Emissions at Walmart where he led battery storage and EV charging origination and implemented distributed generation projects ranging from carport solar to behind the meter fuel cells on stores and distribution centers. He holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin and a degree in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Tennessee. |
