Edison Energy’s Saverio Grosso will be speaking at the BCxA Annual Conference, which will be taking place virtually this year. The webinar session will take place Monday, August 3, 2020 from 11:00 AM-12:00PM EST, and will be taking place in the “Cx Essentials” Track.
Title: Unlocking the Value of EBCx: Achieving Success through Training and a Culture of Collaboration
Duration: 60 minutes
Description: At the core of every successful Existing Building Commissioning (EBCx) project is the ability to collaborate and foster a culture of trust and engagement with the building’s operating staff in order to both identify and implement energy conservation measures. It has been proven that further advancements can be made in maintaining energy efficiency and savings if the operations team is involved in the testing of the systems and training is provided. Working with the operations team and sharing testing strategies and calculation methodologies helps engage the operator in the process and provides the building staff with the added benefit of engineering training. This track will provide guidance for how to best work with the operations team as part of the EBCx process and develop training material to be used for ongoing Cx, and will showcase examples of how previous award winning project collaborations have shown significant benefits beyond the attainment of energy savings.
