Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ)

Our Ongoing Commitment

Our Company Culture

We are proud to share our ongoing commitment to elevating diversity and inclusion within our company. Our people are what drive us, and our goal is to cultivate a sense of belonging and create a team where everyone feels like they are part of just that – a team.

At Edison Energy, we welcome individuals of varying backgrounds, perspectives, and strengths as we strive for diversity across race, gender, sex, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and physical and mental ability.

Creating an Inclusive Environment

Diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ) is all about representation and creating equitable systems that eliminate systemic barriers. Here at Edison, we are guided by our mission to effect positive change within our company and across communities.

DEIJ is embedded in everything we do—from our company culture and recruiting and hiring practices, to the projects we deploy and the partnerships we form. We are committed to fostering an environment that empowers our people, our clients, and the communities we serve.

Our Equity Team

This is how we do it.

At the core of our DEIJ efforts is Edison’s DEIJ Taskforce, a group of passionate, dedicated Edison team members who help drive a variety of robust initiatives across our company.

The Taskforce aims to create and foster a workplace that reflects and contributes to the diverse global communities in which we do business.

With support from the Taskforce, Edison continues to build processes and policies that promote access and equity, fostering an inclusive environment that allows our people to thrive.

Communications

The DEIJ Taskforce publishes a quarterly newsletter called “Kaleidoscope,” which includes articles on DEIJ-related topics, along with helpful resources.

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups whose aim is to foster a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with the organizations they serve.

Employees who lead and take part in ERGs typically have shared characteristics or life experiences including gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, lifestyle, or interests. ERGs provide support, enhance career development, and contribute to personal development in the workplace.

Our ERGs are the heartbeat of our Taskforce. They help shape our company culture, foster engagement between leadership and employees, drive better hiring and recruiting practices, attract talent and boost employee retention rates, and spur professional development.

Impact RoundTable Series

As part of our commitment to breaking down barriers to energy access, Edison hosts an Impact RoundTable Series, with the goal of elevating and highlighting topics around Environmental and Social Justice (ESJ).

The quarterly series seeks to foster awareness, equity, and inclusivity; drive meaningful community impact; and create a collaborative space for inclusive dialogue, the sharing of ideas, and education and engagement.
