In the first edition of “On the Job Safety with EE”, we offer four considerations for Rigging Safety – pre-planning, creating a checklist, inspection, and supervision – to ensure that all rigging and lifting activities are successful and hazard-free.
Pictured below is the Edison Energy team in action hoisting, moving, and placing an 11-foot tall, 36,000-pound chiller into the hospital’s Central Utility Plant (CUP) utilizing a 100-ton crane, skates, long pry bars, and a whole lot of manpower.
The healthcare institution is nearing completion of an innovative energy efficiency project at one of its nationally recognized acute care facilities located in Rockville, MD. The project is expected to significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions and represents a critical investment in the patients and communities the hospital serves across the Metro DC region.
