General Counsel, Edison Energy
Lloyd MacNeil is general counsel of Edison Energy. He is the general counsel of Edison Energy. He serves as principal legal advisor and oversees government and regulatory affairs at Edison Energy.
Prior to joining Edison Energy, Lloyd was a partner at Dechert LLP, in Los Angeles, where he served in the firm’s Corporate and Securities group. The practice focused on project financing and management, as well as mergers and acquisitions in the energy and infrastructure sector, with a particular emphasis on renewable energy.
Lloyd has more than 20 years of legal counsel and litigation experience in the senior project finance, corporate and commercial arenas. His expertise includes energy and infrastructure development and finance, as well as corporate and commercial transactions.
In addition to partner and associate positions at several law firms, Lloyd has worked as a corporate attorney at Boeing Capital Corporation where he provided legal counsel related to the sale of the company’s commercial finance division to GE.
He received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Dalhousie University and a law degree from Dalhousie Law School, both in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
