Scope
As a result of a previous assessment, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) decided to upgrade the majority of HVAC systems at their 411–419 East 67th Street Radiation Oncology facility in Manhattan, NY.
As MSKCC’s technical consultant, Edison Energy’s Engineering team was retained to perform a detailed energy analysis to evaluate the new design in comparison to the existing system and calculate the potential energy savings. This effort included baseline testing to determine current operating conditions (i.e. airflow readings).

Throughout development of the project, Edison Energy served as Commissioning Agent for the project to ensure the integrity was maintained and savings were achieved. These services were funded up to 50% through the NYSERDA Energy Manager for Hire program.
In working with MSKCC and NYSERDA, Edison Energy was able to determine that nearly $200,000 in implementation incentives were available for the project.
Achievement of the energy goals were based on a detailed, energy-focused, commissioning process.
