Portfolio Advisory Services — Lead Consultant

This position is within the Portfolio Advisory Services team, which is focused on a market competitive services offering to meet the needs of the largest energy users by delivering actionable insight to these clients that helps them consistently achieve their energy and risk management objectives across their enterprise at the lowest cost.

The successful candidate will supervise engagements with Edison Energy’s Portfolio Advisory clients and coordinate cross-organizational collaboration, particularly with the Digital Platform team. He/she will serve as a trusted energy advisor for new and existing clients that is counted on for honesty, an unbiased approach, humility and ability to indicate when we don’t know something but will find out.  They will play an integral role in understanding client needs, running portfolio analysis to understand “what ifs”, and then turn that information into thoughtful recommendations.

Portfolio Advisory Services — Product Manager

This position is within the Portfolio Advisory Services team which is focused on a market competitive services offering to meet the needs of the largest energy users by delivering actionable insight to these clients that helps them consistently achieve their energy and risk management objectives across their enterprise at the lowest cost.

Drawing on technical, project management, and analytical aptitude, the successful candidate will work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to develop, implement, and assess various energy products for customers from the market.  The individual will secure, analyze and identify multi-term energy supply contracting opportunities that advance the customers energy portfolio while enhancing the digital solutions system.

The successful candidate will identify relevant energy products, solutions and business opportunities; will be responsible for determining the attractiveness and feasibility of each project or solutions development; and will be accountable for execution.  He/she may also identify, investigate, evaluate and propose strategic business alliances with external third parties that are in-line with the organization’s goals.  The successful candidate will be expected to juggle multiple projects and products simultaneously and be capable of prioritizing work that will be most impactful for the business.

Senior Software Engineer

As a member of Edison Energy’s software team, you will be responsible for implementation of Edison Energy’s client focused internal software systems and tools. Edison Energy’s digital assets provide business analyst with insight to be used on behalf of our clients. Our cloud-based systems and software include, but not limited to: energy portfolio management, energy asset virtualization, big data analytics, and big data visualizations. As the Senior Software Engineer, we will rely on your arsenal of skills and talents to effectively perform:

  • Work closely with management, business analysts, and product managers to implement features defined by stakeholders
  • Communicate technical designs and principles to technical stakeholders
  • Implementation of features defined by the feature team
  • Serve as technical lead on feature team
  • Mentorship and career development for less senior technical staff
  • Ability to lead small teams of software developers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or other technical or business field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with database technologies (relational and non-relational)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in cloud based software development
  • Understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns
  • Understanding of multi-tiered software architectures
  • Experience with process and tools for continuous delivery of SaaS based solutions
  • Understanding of Agile and Lean Software Development methodology
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
